Responsible for leading the development and implementation of complex product strategies across multiple product lines across the enterprise or within a multi-state environment.

Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops, implements and maintains competitive product platform.

  • Tracks individual product or capability performance by benefit design, market segment and sub region.

  • Supports the development of short and long term strategic product plans and roadmaps in support of market, sales and profitability objectives.

  • Collaborate with marketing, sales and development teams and manage customer expectations around product delivery.

  • Collaborates with other solutions directors to identify cross product trends and needs

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to elicit feedback and understand priorities

  • Develop business cases for new products and significant product enhancements including: identification of problem, proposed solution, market sizing, sales projection, costs, execution planning/management etc

  • Be a champion for process driven development. Help improve the product development process and create and promote standard templates and artifacts

  • Oversee the product launch process to ensure organization is ready to train, deploy, and support product in the market

  • Good understanding of software development life cycle

  • Excellent written communication skills - documentation, presentations, and flowchart

  • Excellent verbal communication skills - business partners, internal customers, senior management, business analysts, developers and other cross functional teams

  • Strong technical abilities to hold your own in debates with technical architects and engineers.

  • Ability to do competitive and market analysis to understand the competitive landscape

  • Identifies system needs to support short and long term product strategy.

  • Develops system requirements and ROI.

  • May lead effort or manage project teams in the implementation of complex regional and companywide initiatives including portfolio repositioning in a market, legislative changes, network/provider changes/ medical management program and policy initiatives, etc.

Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree

  • 7-10 years of product management or development experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Demonstrated results in three or more of the following areas required: Product Development, Market Strategy, Market Research or Risk Management.

  • Healthcare experience highly preferred

  • Master's preferred.
